Reasons from A**********************
First and foremost, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my intent to pursue my higher education in China, specifically at Shanghai University.
"A good education will always guarantee you a good future" -- this is the mantra of my family handed down from my great grandparents. I believe that going to China for a higher education means guaranteeing me a future with stability and prosperity. China's reputation in the education sector worldwide inspired me to advance my studies in Business and Marketing. And to study in a country who has one of the fastest developing economies in the world is an opportunity to be in the midst of it all.
The facilities and conducive atmosphere of China will help me enhance my knowledge and skills in a better way. As a student, to discover and appreciate China's history, its rich culture, its people and its enormous landscape is not only going to be a good experience but it will also be an asset for future Marketers or Business Entrepreneurs, like me. I finished my BA (Hons) in Business and Marketing Management at Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom and I got good marks at the final result. I always take a keen interest in my studies and I believe, I want to spend my educational activities in a top class environment to satisfy my inner educational needs. And this is the reason why I chose to study at the Shanghai University. It is one of the most prestigious universities in China known for its high-quality of education. It is located in Asia, specifically in Shanghai -- China's biggest city and the world's financial hub. SHU offers my desired Masters program and it also offers an academic, social and cultural experience of the finest quality. I strongly believe that after receiving a diploma from the Shanghai University, several multinational companies will be pleased to welcome me to their roster. As recommended by my colleagues, my parents and most importantly the above factors mentioned above, i choose China. I believe that China is the best place for me to pursue my higher studies in Asia. And it's the best place to be whether it's education or business.
The educational system in China is undeniably one of the best in the world. I would like to be given this rare opportunity to experience it and to be a part of it. I will make you proud -- the same promise I made to my parents. I will be very grateful if you will consider my application to study at your esteemed institute.- 5 Years ago

June- July
Classroom Location

Course Description
Traditionally operations management is associated with technically complex procedures and calculations due to its origins in operations research and engineering. However managers need to deal with systemic complexity given the many parts that make up contemporary organisations and the dynamic, geographically dispersed nature of many of these organisations. Hence the emphasis of this course will be managerial rather than technical.
Operations strategy is the starting point of well managed operations, whether in manufacturing, services or the government. To meet the strategic objectives the operational capabilities (e.g. equipment, people skills, planning and quality management) of the organisation must be strategically managed to create value for customers. This course takes an integrated view of operations, because all the parts of the operation must work together to satisfy customers.
